For renewal, you should visit any Citizens Service Center (KEP) in Cyprus and the Citizens Service Center (KEPO) located at Post Offices. The procedure stipulates that the vehicle must first be immobilized and then for the road tax to be renewed.
There will be no reduced fee if the renewal takes place any day of the year and is valid until the end of each calendar year. If your classic vehicle has a valid driving license now, you will need to immobilize it this month, to be able to use the €25 fee in February 2020. For vehicles already immobilized, renewal can take place anytime and will be valid until the end of this year.
The system whereby a classic vehicle is entitled to a 65% discount for the road tax continues to apply and those who choose to purchase this option will be able to drive their vehicles any day of the year.
To renew, you must submit your Vehicle Registration Certificate, Valid Inspection Certificate, Insurance and valid FIVA Certificate issued by our Federation OKAK.
In terms of insurance, the Federation has already contacted all general insurance companies and secured two very good offers, from General Insurances of Cyprus (GIC) and Trust Insurance. You are encouraged to contact the insurance companies directly to arrange your contract. You must submit a valid FIVA certificate issued by our Federation to be entitled to use the insurance offer.
